The Amanda Knox Documentary

So, the Amanda Knox Documentary on Netflix, there was something about the documentary that I wanted to re watch it.

So if you don't know who Amanda Knox is, she is an American woman who in 2007 went to Italy as an exchange student and one of her fellow roommates British woman Meredith was killed, and Amanda and her boyfriend spent almost four years in Italian prison for the murder. They were acquitted and went back home to America and in 2015 was acquitted again from the Italian supreme Court

There is a lot of controversy around the murder and there is a third person that is currently in prison for the murder.

For me I think it is one of those crimes that I don't think will ever be solved.

Personally I think that Amanda in some way is guilty of the crime even though she has been convicted twice and been acquitted twice. There is something that is very fishy, and not right, with the way that she acts, she speaks, her body language

In a tweet that  I put out when I first watched the documentary was that "#AmandaKnox makes my skin crawl. I think she is guilty. How could someone be so cold.  Makes me sick".

For me though there were a lot of questions that are left unanswered from both Amanda and her boyfriend.

  1. Why would you walk in to the house she was renting if the door was already open
  2. Why did she have a shower after seeing the blood when she first walked into the bathroom, and why at that point didn't she see if any of her room mates where home and OK.
  3. Why didn't she check before she got into the shower to see if there was any more blood marks in the bathroom
  4. Why didn't Amanda realize that there was blood everywhere until after she had a shower
  5. Why didn't she check the house before getting in the shower
  6. Why didn't she check the rest of the bathroom before getting in the shower
  7. Why would you go to talk to she talk to her boyfriend rather then to see if any of her roommates were in the house with her, or even if there was someone else in the house that wasn't supposed to be there
  8. Why didn't she check on Meredith, because to Amanda's own admonition Meredith never locked her door, and her door was locked
  9. Why did they call the police after the police who returned the phones had arrived
  10. From what I have also seen but wasn't covered in the documentary was that after the police who returned the cell phones did they call Raffelle's sister before the police. Why didn't they call the police first rather then his sister
  11. Why did she think it was appropriate to be kissing her 'boyfriend' of a week while her room mate was laying dead just a few feet away in the house
  12. Was the window in the other roommates room already smashed when she got there or did she stage that part
  13. That phone conversation that was added in, she sounded so cold and so distant, and the other person was acting as if they didn't even care
  14. What one thing means in America or said in English, maybe translated differently in other contraries yet she seems not to understand that, with the text she sent to her boss about "See you later. Have a good night" may be translated in to something different in Italy then it would in America or the UK, yet she seems as if it means the same everywhere
  15. Even if someone was hitting me over the back of my head, I would still tell the truth about what happened that night. If her first statement were true why would she keep changing her stories, even if it was just little details every time
  16. Why did she think it was OK to yell about how Meredith died when another roommate had said she had hoped Meredith dint suffer to much
  17. Why would she think its OK to do be doing cartwheels, stretches and kissing her boyfriend in the corridor of the police station
  18. Why would she think its OK to say things out loud so close after the murder in close proximity to others about sex,
  19. I understand that she had to get underwear, but what about other clothes, she says that the police wouldn't let her take any of her belongings, clothes included, but she was only seen getting underwear, was she only wearing the clothes that she was in that day.
  20. In CCTV images that I have seen she doesn't seem really upset that her friend and roommate had been killed. she seemed to be acting 'normal' kissing her boyfriend, making comments about sex,
  21. If she were telling the truth the whole time, and the police were putting pressure on her why implicate a man that had nothing to do with it. I think that she should have stuck to her story.
  22. Why would they listen to her story when she lied so many times, Truth will always out live lies. She changed her story to suit them apparently but she was constantly telling a different story. I don't care how long they interviewed her for, if she kept to the same story she wouldn't be tripping over her lies
  23. So her diary that she wrote in prison was released to the press - the reporter that they had gotten in and interviewed Nick Pisa said he wouldn't revel how he came across the diary or how he would come across any leads - which leads me to think that maybe Amanda leaked her own prison diary, and if that is true then shame on her even more
  24. Did the police really tell her that she had the HIV/AIDS virus, she is known to have lied in her interviews.
  25. She says its impossible that her DNA could be on the handle of the knife while Meredith's was found on the blade of the same knife that was found in the house of her boyfriend, Well surely the two of them cooked while they were in his house together, that would explain her DNA on the knife handle
  26. Why did it take so long to collect the clasp of the bra
  27. Why was there DNA of Amanda's boyfriend on the same clasp if he didn't commit something towards Meredith
  28. The other person involved in this whole situation also lied, yet we are supposed to believe Amanda when she also lied. He was on the toilet while Meredith was murdered, (now this is just a part of my theory) He says he saw a man come towards him, he couldn't see who it was because it was dark, dont you think that if Amanda was there she could have easily hid while the other man went into see Meredith and then left while he was in the room.
  29. It seemed so quick that Amanda had even judged him, without actually knowing if he had done it or not.
  30. Why in court was she smiling to people. This is not only her life that was on the line here, but her boyfriend or ex boyfriend or what ever he was by the time the court date came around but someone had been killed
  31. In the days after meeting Raffaele Sollecito, how many times did he come to the house she was staying at, because we know she went to his house quite a lot in those few days they were together yet the first time we know for sure he was there on the day that Meredith died. If he didn't go to the house until that day why was his DNA in the house
  32. Why didn't they go to the memorial service for Meredith, at that point they hadn't been arrested
  33. There was reliable evidence that Raffaele was in the room that day its pretty intimate your bra strap, why was his DNA on it.
  34. Why was the investigation so botched (this is the only time out of everything that I have already said that I am on Amanda's side with)
  35. Why are we looking at her, well because of her lies, her body language, things that were said to her family, her actions in the days after the murder before she was interviewd, what she had said in her interviews, the way that she acted.

As you can see that I have had a lot of questions while watching the documentary. I am not saying that the police were perfect in this case they were far from it, I think that was because the last murder they had in the town was some twenty years previously so they didn't have any experience of how to deal with the murder.  But there have been other cases by Italian police where they havent done a good job either

One of my biggest things is that you don't really see Meredith's family at all, all of 2 minutes at the most in this Documentary, but in 9 years that is pretty small amount of coverage for a family apart from the right after the murder. I understand that they don't want that much publicity, and I understand and heard they are disappointed about the ruling that both Amanda and her ex Rafaelle got off, and to be honest so would I be.

I personally think that they both have more to do with what happened to Meredith's death then they are letting on they did, I personally believe they didn't do it but had something to do with it, and they are covering it up,

Book Review || Eclipse

So it took me years to read Eclipse, yes I have seen the movie before reading the book.

The reason that I haven't read the book ever is because it took me so long to read New Moon, which I hated with a passion. It let the whole series down in my opinion.

When I first pick the book up back in September I didnt get very far, like 50 pages or something which you can find here HERE

Bella is still grounded after running away to Italy to save Edward, and after Jake told Charlie about the moterbikes that they had been renovating in New Moon. Bella gets in to University, and Charlie starts lifting some of the rules that she has, as long as she goes and see's Jacob. There also have been killings in Seattle.

One day Jacob goes to Bella's school and without warning she leaves with him so that Alice couldn't see what she was doing. Bella is still wanting to become a vampire, and one night to stop her from seeing Jacob, Alice takes her to the Cullen house where Rosalie tells her how she became a Vampire.

Edward finally allows Bella to see Jacob, and one day she goes to see Jacob on the renovation, and she learns more about how Jacob and his friends became werewolf through Billy, Jacob's dad, I think that the chapter was a bit to stretched out and I read it twice because it was so long and the second time I read it all in one sitting to understand what was really going on.

The killings that have been happening in Seattle have been, believed by the Cullen's, that of an army of new born Vampires, which leads into how Jasper became a Vampire. I laughed so hard when Bella hit Jacob and broke her hand. The Graduation party was really boring.

Most of the book I really struggled to get through. So much so that it took me a month to read it, where other books I have taken a lot less time to read the book. I felt that the fight scenes where bland. I would have liked to have seen more of how Jacob had got hurt in the book along side the fight with Riley and Victoria. I think that this book showed more of Edward's controlling nature

Personally I actually liked some parts of this book. I think the story of Rosalie's story is heartbreaking, it was one of my favorite chapters so far. The story of the legands and how they became warewolf was a good chapter but I think that I think it was a little to long and a little to confusing,

The book started out so well for me personally that I was really exited to actually read the book. I dont know which part really made me turn to dislike the book but it was either the Legand chapter or the one where Jasper tells his story about becoming a vampire and how they will deal with the new borns.

I found that the Voltori were pointless in this book and where only there because to fill the book up and make it longer.

But I will say that I am actually proud that I have finished the book

The Stripper Diaries by Trisha Paytas || Book Review

Welcome
To another book review, This is a post on The Stripper Diaries by Trisha Paytas.

Sometimes I have to worry about some of the books that I read, also I have to worry about some of the people who I watch on YouTube.

I first found Trisha Paytas years ago, she is one of the youtube personalities that some times I like watching and other times I cant even watch a full video and other times I wont even click on the video.

So when she came out with some books a few years ago I thought that I would pick them up. I have read them only once, so I decided to re read them.

So I re read The Stripper Diaries first. Ok when I first read it ages ago, I really didn't like it that much, and after I re read it I found it as bad if not worse then the first time I had read it.  I am not denying that she was a stripper and that some of the things that she had put into her dairies and then published are true, but I think that she has fabricated pretty much most of what she put into the book.

Its one of those books that I thought would have been better if she had not even written it and just but the diaries in to a box and put it somewhere where it is out of sight.

I gave it a three star rating on Good Reads, and personally it is like a 2.75 star, but I just rounded it up to a 3 star.

Books I Want to Re-Read || Top 5 Wednesday || November 23rd 2016

Welcome
To another Top 5 Wednesday, today's T5W is books that I want to re-read. We all have books we want to read for the first time, but there are some books that we also want to re-read, I didn't put the Harry Potter books for a cupple of reasons, 1. I have read it this year, and 2. Harry Potter will always be on my re-reads list

Fan Girl
Rainbow Rowell
When I first read Fan Girl I wasnt overly impressed with the book, for me it was so over hyped, and maybe that was part of the downfall of the book at the time for me. I think if I re read the book that I would enjoy it.

To All The Boy's I've Loved Before
Jenny Han
Again I found that the book was so over hyped, I really didnt like it when I read it earlier this year, I think I will wait a while before I read it again, but I don't want to read it for a while yet, just because  I have read it this year,

One Day
David Nicholls
I really enjoyed the book when I finally read it, and it seems forever ago since I have read it and its been on my list to re read for ages

The Fault in our Stars
John Green
Its been ages since I have read The Fault in our Stars, I think it is time to re read it

Safe Haven
Nicholas Sparks
I love the book a little more then I love the movie though I do like the movie, I haven't read the book in so long and its been on my list to re-read for ages

Borrow or Buying Books

This was a question an The Rapid Fire Tag that I decided would be great as a post on its own.

Welcome
To another post baised on the Rapid Fire book tag

Borrowing or buying books, this is such a great topic. Borrow or Buying books.

I am such a buying book person. Its the looking around a bookstore, or online, that I enjoy. I am someone who feels awful about borrowing books because of the fact that I take so long to read them and then I will feel bad if I don't give them back, or there is that feeling as if you will damage them in someway.

I had borrowed the PC and Kristen Cast books from a friend of mine and had them for ages and ages, and I felt so bad having them for so long. Did I read any of them, nope, did I even try, yes.

I like the fact that I can get the books myself. I like the fact that I don't have to borrow books or buy books but for me buying books is so much more fun.

The Story Of Channon Rose: Lessons between the Lines || Book Review

Welcome
To another book review, this is on Youtuber Channon Rose

The Story Of Channon Rose is the book by Youtuber Channon Rose, about her early childhood all they way up until her time in the porn industry

I have already read the book last year and really enjoyed it, at the time I gave it 4 starts

The book goes through so many twist and turns that Channon went through growing up with divorced parents, through abuse, being kicked out of almost every school that she went to, in and out of Phyciatric facilities, and her drug use.

What I liked about Channon's book is that it seems more real then other self published autobiographies and books that other YouTuber's have released, even though what she has gone through is a lot more then the average person has had to deal with in their lives.

I cant wait to read the next part of the book.

A book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year…
I don't think that I have a book on my shelf that gets more popular during the winter or festive time

Vicky Angel by Jacqueline Wilson, I remember reading it a time when I was really unhappy in my life and I loved it, I got lost in the book,

Hate List, by Jennifer Brown

Starbucks:

A book you see everywhere…

A book you were expecting more from…
To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. I was expecting something so much better then what it was

The Perfect Blend:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is such a bitter sweet book, but ultimatley satifiying at the same time, I think it is a perfect ending to such a perfect series,

My Best Friends Girl by Dorothy Koomson

Online or In-Store Book Shopping? My Personal Prefrance

Hey,

Hope you are all well, well this another post based on a question from the Rapid Fire book tag, this one is Online Book Shopping or In Store Shopping.

For me this is an easy topic to talk about because I am very much a In Store book shopping kind of person.

I like online shopping just because you can sometimes find books cheeper then in stores but I like actually walking into the store and walking around and having time just looking in stores.
Matched

In-store Purchase

There is something greatly satisfying about walking around the bookstore. I am really picky about the feeling of the book. I am not a massive fan of books where the paper are not the same length and that is something that online doesn't give you.

With both online and in store book store shopping you can get distracted but I personally think that the book store is so much more fun to get distracted in.

Also if a book is out of stock online there are always multiple copies of the book in store.
