Top 5 Wednesday Books You've Read Because of Booktube/Blogging

Welcome to another Top 5 Wednesday. It feels like ages since I've done one.

The Fault In Our Stars
  • John Green
Every one was talking about The Fault in our Stars . I picked it up and while I liked the book it was one of those books that the hype up was massive. Everyone seemed to talk about it

To All The Boys I've Loved Before
  • Jenny Han
To All The Boys I've Loved Before was one of those books ๐Ÿ“š that I wanted to love because of all the recommendations but couldn't.

Fan Girl
  • Rainbow Rowell
Back in late 2013 early 2014 everyone was raving about Fan Girl. And because of them all raving about it I picked it up.  Was it great. Not really it was ok.

One Day
  • David Nichols
My aunt came over and visited about 6 years ago and was reading the book. She left it and I have read it a few times since and have actually enjoyed it more.

Animal Farm
  • George Orwell
The first booktuber that I watched was Ariel, she mentioned a few times her favourite book was Animal Farm. Now I'm not a massive classic book reader and I can see why. This book went completely over my head.

Childhood Books

Welcome to this weeks Top 5 Wednesday. It feels like forever since I have done one.

  • Noddy
    • Enid Blyton
I was obsessed with Noddy when I was younger. When I say obsessed I mean it was like major obsession. I had books, watch the tv shows, have toys, cups, plates, cutlery, I would make anything noddy if I could. My parents would say that everytime Noddy came on TV and my mum was in the other room I would scream for her and when she came in to see what was wrong I tell her to be quite because Noddy was on TV. She would stand at the door and watch me sing along to the theme song. Also when I was younger we would play a game called 'Where is Bumpy Dog' where every time we would go past a lot of trees we would make up stories about Bumpy Dog being lost in them and being chased by the gremlins and I'd have to roll down the window to let him in the car and hide him from them.

  • The Witches
    • Roald Dahl
Roald Dahl was one of my favourite authors when I was a kid, and while most of my friends liked the BFG, I liked The Witches

  • Vicky Angel
    • Jacqueline Wilson
I have no idea why I love this book so much, but I do. I mean it's a fantastic book that I would read over and over again.

  • The Suitcase Kid
    • Jacqueline Wilson
The Suitcase Kid was my favourite book as a kid. It stuck with me for ages after reading it and I loved re reading it all the time.

  • Harry Potter Series
    • JK Rowling
Ok I know this is super corny, and everyone will want to put it down and won't, but I will. I remember reading the third book in 2002, when I was at a school I hated and just remembering that I wish I was at Hogwarts

Summer Reads || Top 5 Wednesday || May 2017

Welcome to another Top 5 Wednesday. This week is all about books that remind us of summer.

  • Rules of Summer/Since Last Summer
This is literally the perfect duo for summer - Summer is even in the title - but seriously though it has the perfect setting for summer, the romance, the beach, friendships, work.

  • Since You've Been Gone
Ok so it's not actually set in summer. But it is a YA romancey kind of book that reminds me of summer, the bucket list of things in the book have the summer element to them.

  • One Day
Because One Day is set on a day in the middle of the summer it just reminds me of summer.

  • My Life Next Door
I really liked this book when I read it, and the reason it's on this list is because it reminds me so much of summer.

  • LA Candy Series by Lauren Conrad
This reminds me of summer just for the fact The Hills would be on at summer time and LA reminds me of  summer

Top 5 Wednesday || Books as Event Themes

Welcome back to another Top 5 Wednesday. This week is all about books as event themes. This was such a hard topic for me to do, that it actually took me a while to write it, (I am still writing it on the day I put this post out) and even with that I still only have four. I also kept reading and rereading what this weeks topic was all about and if I'm being honest I was confused by it. Yep that's how easy I get confused.

Harry Potter
I know it's an obvious choose but because of the vast number of characters, events etc in each separate book ๐Ÿ“š there is so much to choose from. I mean do you can do a character party, or have a party like the Yule Ball, have feasts like they seem to have everyday.

The Great Gatsby.
Jay Gatsby has an amazing house, and holds massive parties. That time era as well would be a great party theme, wedding theme,

Since You've Been Gone.
SYBG would make a great summer holiday event.  Ok so I know it's basically a massive bucket list, but doing it for a bunch of your friends would be so much fun.

Just One Day
I think Just One Day would be a great book to do as a party because you could theme it around different contraries (England, France) or different nationalities (American, French, English, Dutch etc) or theme it in Shakespeare

For me I also found it hard because I don't have a lot of books compared to other people but I have a fair amount where the same things tend to happen in them.

Top 5 Wednesday: Favorite SFF Cover Art

Welcome
To today's Top 5 Wednesday.  This week is Science Fiction and Fantasy cross over topic from SSF,  and all about covers. even though I am not a massive reader of science fantasy or fiction it took me a while to actually get this topic going. And I don't actually have five different science related books to cover this whole topic.

  • Lunar Chronicles
    • Science Fantasy
    • Marissa Meyer
I love the the covers of the lunar chronicles because they have the aspect of the original story and the retelling.

Harry Potter Books
  • Fantasy
  • Young Adult
The u.k editions of the books are so well done I love them. (Even if my cover of the 4th book has fallen off, and lost it and then found it again). I also have an extra copy of the 4th book and the cover of it is also really nice.

I am not a massive science fiction and fantasy kind of person. So I did the best I could.

Authors I want to read more from || Top 5 Wednesday April 2017

Welcome
To my only Top 5 Wednesday of April. This months top 5, has been hard. I very rarely read anything that would be considered anything science fiction or fantasy that I could justify making a whole post about it. It's the same the LGBTQ books. I haven't really read any, that I am aware of anyway, and I am not a big video game player.

Dorothy Koomson
I wanna be that wierd fan Girl and own all her books at some point or another because I love them so much.

Sarah Dessen
I'm on the fence about Sarah Dessen's books that I want to read more by her to be

Morgan Matson
Again I am on the fence with Morgan Matson. I didn't dislike SYBG, but I didn't love it either.

Jenny Han
With Jenny Han it's a difficult one. I wasn't in love with To All The Boys I've Loved Before and am worried about reading other books by her for that simple fact. But that's also the upside. She has other books that I want to read to see if they are better.

Nicholas Sparks
I have a few books by Nicholas sparks and I enjoy them.  It's just that I want to read more of them.

There we are for this month. Let's hope I have better luck with May's T5W

Books That Went Downhill || December 14th 2016 || Top 5 Wednesday

Welcome

To another Top 5 Wednesday, This weeks top 5 Wednesday is books and tv shows that have got worse with each book or tv series. I have three

The Daughters.
 Joanna Philbin

While I liked them I was so confused with each book that it made me not like them as much as I think I could have.

Twilight
Stephanie Meyer
As much as the book twilight was ok I never really got into the whole fandom of it. I enjoyed the book. Until that is I read new moon and recently eclipse and now reading breaking dawn I was so disappointed with those books. It has gotten so bad that I wish I had never picked them up to read them. By far New moon is the worst book out of the three follow up books.

Just One Year
Gayle Forman
I love just one day and I love Gayle formans wroting style but I wasn't in love with Just One Year that I actually put it down half way through.

Books I Want to Re-Read || Top 5 Wednesday || November 23rd 2016

Welcome
To another Top 5 Wednesday, today's T5W is books that I want to re-read. We all have books we want to read for the first time, but there are some books that we also want to re-read, I didn't put the Harry Potter books for a cupple of reasons, 1. I have read it this year, and 2. Harry Potter will always be on my re-reads list

Fan Girl
Rainbow Rowell
When I first read Fan Girl I wasnt overly impressed with the book, for me it was so over hyped, and maybe that was part of the downfall of the book at the time for me. I think if I re read the book that I would enjoy it.

To All The Boy's I've Loved Before
Jenny Han
Again I found that the book was so over hyped, I really didnt like it when I read it earlier this year, I think I will wait a while before I read it again, but I don't want to read it for a while yet, just because  I have read it this year,

One Day
David Nicholls
I really enjoyed the book when I finally read it, and it seems forever ago since I have read it and its been on my list to re read for ages

The Fault in our Stars
John Green
Its been ages since I have read The Fault in our Stars, I think it is time to re read it

Safe Haven
Nicholas Sparks
I love the book a little more then I love the movie though I do like the movie, I haven't read the book in so long and its been on my list to re-read for ages

Characters I Used To Love but Don't Any More | Top 5 Wednesday | November 9th 2016

Welcome
To another Top 5 Wednesday, where this week the topic is on characters we used to love but don't any more, it can be either they changed thought the the book/series, your view on them has changed, or you grew out of them.

This week was hard for me to choose my Top 5, and even though it is a top 5 Wednesday I only have four

Edward
Twilight Saga
Stephenie Meyer
When Twilight first got popular around 2008 when the first movie came out, I didn't read the first book until right before the movie came out. I loved Edward from the start, and when I saw the movie and he was played by Robert Pattinson I was totally Team Edward, for the simple fact that the actor and myself are both from England. But now after re reading Twilight and New Moon and reading for the first time Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn soon, I fell out of love with Edward, either I just fell out of love, or I grew up and realized that he isn't the person I thought he was,

Willem
Just One Day/Just One Year
Gayle Forman
In Just One Day I really liked Willem, I found him a really intresting character, who brought Allison out of her shell in a way that her friend couldn't. I really liked him in Just One Day, but when I read (and havent finished) Just One Year, I started to really not like him, and he started to go down in my estimation

Hazel
The Fault in our Stars
John Green
I love The Fault in our Stars dont get me wrong, and I love Hazel, but and this is a big BUT over time I have found that I dont love Hazel as much as I thought I did or as much as I first did when I read the book.

Jacob Black
Twilight Saga
Stephenie Meyer
Even though I am not a massive fan of the Twilight books I actually really liked Jacob in the first book in the series, but over time I jut felt that like Edward I kinda grew out of him, and now that I am reading the books again, I really don't like him.
