Books I Like To Revisit and Other Things T5W

Welcome to another T5W… this week it’s a bit of a mixture of Books, Tv shows and music.

Books
- Anything By Dorothy Koomson
Dorothy knows a way to my heart ❤️ with her books. They are books I can read over and over and just keep getting lost in them.

- Safe Haven
I don’t know why but Safe Haven made small town America seem really interesting. Really friendly. It’s a book that I get lost in 100% of the time.

TV Shows

- Pretty Little Liars
What I love about PLL is it doesn’t matter how many times I watch it, there seems to be bits that I miss. Even though I know who all the A’s are, and what happens i just love watching it.

- Scott and Bailey
Is another show on Netflix that I can just rewatch over and over again. I

Music

- Ed Sheeran
Ed’s ➗ album at the moment is one of my favourites.

Favourite Romance Novels

Ok so this is supposed to be a top 5 Wednesday in February but just never posted it
I am not a fan of romance novels at all. But these are books that I like where love is the main storyline

- Safe Haven

If you have ever read a Nicholas Sparks book or seen a movie based on a book by him then you know that he is like the king πŸ‘‘ of love stories. Out of the two books that I’ve read by him Safe Haven is by far my favourite book of his. (I even love the movie. And think it’s better than The Notebook).

- My Life Next Door

I like when two characters are polar opposites to each other. With My Life Next Door you couldn’t get two people who are so different.

- The Great Gatsby

It’s something about this book that I love. I did the wrong thing and watched the movie first but when I read the book I didn’t see the movie in the book.

- One Day
So I know this book is a lot to do with friendship rather than romance but the underlying theme of the book is love.

Forgettable Books T5W

Welcome to Top 5 Wednesday. It feels like forever since I’ve done one. January is a tough month for me to do Top 5 Wednesday, because a lot of them coincide with some of the Top Ten Tuesday’s, or I’ve already done some post like it. Today’s T5W is all on forgettable books.

- Friend Me

I remember reading it years ago, and literally mean years ago but that’s all I remember.

- PS I Love You

Like always I went through a stage where I wants to read all the books by the same author. After reading PS I Love You I remember thinking that. I ended up getting four more books by the same and reading them but I can’t remember what happened in any of them.

- A Place Called Here

I know I’ve read it but can’t remember much about it.

- The Host

    - Stephenie Meyer

I remember getting the book years ago from Costco. It was around the time everyone was going m crazy over Twilight. Yet I keep forgetting I have it. Mainly because it sits on a bookshelf where I keep the autobiographies I own because it’s too big to sit on the main part of my book shelf.

T5W Books I Didn’t Get To in 2017

Welcome to Top 5 Wednesday. Or part 2 of books that I meant to get to in 2017 but didn’t.

This is part 2 of the Books I Didn’t Get To in 2017 You can see part 1 HERE.

The Next Best Thing
I forgot I had the book until recently. I knew I had it last year but forgot about it.

Great Expectations
I wanted to read the book but didn’t because I always have a hard time when it comes to classics.

PS I Love You
Even though it would have been a re read it’s been years since I last read it and I wanted to read it again but never got around to it. I think mainly because it was on a second book shelf that I don’t tend to look πŸ‘€ at that much.

The Coldest Girl In Coldtown
The amount of times that I have just skipped over the book is insane.

Blogmas Day 13 || Top 5 Wednesday || Characters on the Naughty List

Welcome to day 13 of Blogmas. Today is all about characters on the naughty list and another Top 5 Wednesday

- Lara Jean
For the simple fact that I just didn’t like her at all. I found her to be annoying, stuck up, selfish. Just so blah.

- Greyback
He just freaks me out. I have no other reason then that

- Bella from Twilight
Come on. It’s Bella. She’s annoying and boring all in one and that’s coming from a series of books that are just plain bad

- Anastasia 50 Shades if Grey
For the simple fact that she is based on Bella. I never knew anyone could have been as bad as Bella until Ana came along

Blogmas Day 6 I'm So Grinch About This

Welcome to day  6 of blogmas. Today is a Top 5 Wednesday all about bookish things are grinch about. This can be stuff about covers, dumb tropes,

  • When Bookmarks Go All Flimsy
I love bookmarks. Well now anyways. But I have this one that I really love but it's gone all flimsy at the top where it sticks out the top of the book

  • Dog Ear Corners
I used to dog ear the corners of my books when I was younger.  Now I hate looking at the marks that they made.

  • Obvious Book/Movie Similarities
I'm not talking about when a book is made into a movie but when books and moves are completely different time frame and they are so similar
I think the biggest culprit of this is Beneath the Glitter by Elle and Blair Fowler and the movie Material Girls with the Duff sisters.

  • Book Hauls
Everyone seems to do monthly book Hauls.  I know they get books sent to them by publishers and what have you, but seriously when they get to be more then you posting a review then it annoys me.

  • When People Say Twilight is Better Then Harry Potter
Everything about that is just wrong. It's Harry Potter all the way.

August 2nd: Book Covers I'd Live In || T5W

Welcome to a T5W, and the first one of August. This weeks is all about book covers we'd want to live in

  • Beneath The Glitter
    • Elle and Blair Fowler
Its not a great book by any stretch of the imagination but the cover is so beautiful.

  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Illustrated
The Chamber of Secrets has always been one of my favourite books from the whole series, so when I got the Illustrated version of the copy it blew my mind of how beautiful it is and makes me want to live in the whole Harry Potter world more

  • The uk cover art for some of Dorothy Koomson's books
The uk πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ covers of Dorothy's books are beautiful that you just wanna jump into and be a part of the world.

  • Rules of Summer
It's something about the cover of the book that makes me think of a beach and how I wanna go back to England and sit on the beach again

  • The Great Gatsby
The copy that I have is so classy and classic

Childhood Books

Welcome to this weeks Top 5 Wednesday. It feels like forever since I have done one.

  • Noddy
    • Enid Blyton
I was obsessed with Noddy when I was younger. When I say obsessed I mean it was like major obsession. I had books, watch the tv shows, have toys, cups, plates, cutlery, I would make anything noddy if I could. My parents would say that everytime Noddy came on TV and my mum was in the other room I would scream for her and when she came in to see what was wrong I tell her to be quite because Noddy was on TV. She would stand at the door and watch me sing along to the theme song. Also when I was younger we would play a game called 'Where is Bumpy Dog' where every time we would go past a lot of trees we would make up stories about Bumpy Dog being lost in them and being chased by the gremlins and I'd have to roll down the window to let him in the car and hide him from them.

  • The Witches
    • Roald Dahl
Roald Dahl was one of my favourite authors when I was a kid, and while most of my friends liked the BFG, I liked The Witches

  • Vicky Angel
    • Jacqueline Wilson
I have no idea why I love this book so much, but I do. I mean it's a fantastic book that I would read over and over again.

  • The Suitcase Kid
    • Jacqueline Wilson
The Suitcase Kid was my favourite book as a kid. It stuck with me for ages after reading it and I loved re reading it all the time.

  • Harry Potter Series
    • JK Rowling
Ok I know this is super corny, and everyone will want to put it down and won't, but I will. I remember reading the third book in 2002, when I was at a school I hated and just remembering that I wish I was at Hogwarts

June 7th: Books For Your Hogwarts House

Welcome
Back to a top five Wednesday. I missed the last two weeks. This week though I am doing 7 rather then 5 books that go with each of the traits of the house I am in.

I am a Ravenclaw, I did a while post about being a Ravenclaw HERE.

  • Intelligence
    • The Great Gatsby
I had a really good reason why I put this as the intelligence one, but I can't remember why. But it fits so perfectly.

  • Wit
This has to go to the Harry Potter Series. Fred and George bring so much fun into the story, they are the light that everyone needs for a while.

  • Wisdom
    • The Help by Kathryn Stockett.
Because of if the subjects in the book. The housekeepers have so much wisdom.

  • Creativity
    • Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen.
It's not one that jumps out suddenly as one that is dripping in creativity, but it's one that for me anyway, has something in it that is creative, the lock and Key necklace that Ruby has and her boss sells.

  • Originality
The Ice Cream Girls for me is so original. It breaks the stereotypes that people may have about teacher pupil relationships that happen.

  • Individuality
    • Hate List by Jennifer Brown
Because of the story of the book I haven't seen anywhere else. It's one of those books that stands out in my mind for having so many interesting and individual people in it brought together through tragedy

  • Acceptence
My Best Friends Girl. There is so much acceptance in the book. From Kamryns personal life to work life, to Nate, Luke, Tegan and Adele, it covers race, abuse,

Summer Reads || Top 5 Wednesday || May 2017

Welcome to another Top 5 Wednesday. This week is all about books that remind us of summer.

  • Rules of Summer/Since Last Summer
This is literally the perfect duo for summer - Summer is even in the title - but seriously though it has the perfect setting for summer, the romance, the beach, friendships, work.

  • Since You've Been Gone
Ok so it's not actually set in summer. But it is a YA romancey kind of book that reminds me of summer, the bucket list of things in the book have the summer element to them.

  • One Day
Because One Day is set on a day in the middle of the summer it just reminds me of summer.

  • My Life Next Door
I really liked this book when I read it, and the reason it's on this list is because it reminds me so much of summer.

  • LA Candy Series by Lauren Conrad
This reminds me of summer just for the fact The Hills would be on at summer time and LA reminds me of  summer
