Book Review || New Moon || Stephenie Meyer

Well New Moon is the one that ruined the whole twilight saga for me personally. It put me in to a massive reading slump this time that I read it, every book that I wanted to read after reading it was not worth reading, and when I read it before I didnt finish the twilight saga even though I owned them.

Basically Bella injures her self which seems to be a common thing that she does which leads the Cullen's to leave because Jaspar cant control his urges for blood, leaving Bella to become heart broken, personally I think that it was a good idea for the Cullen's to leave so that Bella could be a 'normal' teenager and spend time with her other friends, she showed classic signs of being in love and while that is great you should never leave your friends behind.

One of her friendship with childhood friend changes when Jacob becomes a warewolf, but for me he is more like a large bear or wolf rather then a warewolf, a warewolf to me is some one like Lupin is when he changes in the third Harry Potter book, or Grayback in the Harry Potter movies.

In New Moon I think for me anyway, is where Bella starts to become more naive around things, She knows about the vampires, and knows about the warewolfs yet she acts dumb.

When she jumps from the cliff making Edward think she is dead, her and alice go after Edward to the  Volturi, and Bella chaces after him and this is where is gets really bad for me because even though she loves Edward he is changing her way to much and now she will owe him for the rest of her life, and though she loves him so much he has way to much control over her. If this was an everyday real life relationship it would be classed as an abusive and controlling relationship.

And because of Edward trying to get himself killed and Bella knowing about the whole Vampire thing she has to die or be changed to a vampire. Honestly I would have loved to have seen the whole series flipped where she had fallen for Jacob intead.

So when she returns she finds out that Jacob who is jelous of the Cullen's has told her dad that she ran of to Italy after Edward and so she is grounded for going.

One of my problems with this book is why Italy? I mean the Cullen's have decided to stay in places with in the Sates that dont get to much sunlight, yet the  Volturi is in Italy which for me is a great place for sun.


Edward shows classic signs of being over protective even though he was absent from most of the book, he still controlling Bella's thoughts, and Jacob shows classic signs of being jealous. 


In my review of Twilight I say that Bella's dad Charlie doesn't see how much she has changed, yet he finally realises that something is wrong when she runs off to Italy for Edward.
