NY Times By The Book Tag

Welcome
To another post on my blog, I hope you are all well, so far this month (ok so I know its only four days in) but I have done a post a day infact I have posted everyday this week, I know way to go me.

Today's post is a tag, The NY Times By The Book Tag, when I was looking for a tag to do this one came up and it looked interesting.

1. What book is on your night stand now?

Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer

2. What was the last truly great book you read?
The Devil Wears Prada. It's one of my all time favorite books

3. If you could meet any writer – dead or alive – who would it be? And what would you want to know?
There are so many that I want to meet, but I would say, Dorothy Koomson or Jacqueline Wilson

4. What books might we be surprised to find on your shelves?
Beneath the Glitter by Elle and Blair, for the shear fact that its an awful book

5. How do you organize your personal library.
Hardbacks
All my stand alone hard back books are together, if I have a series or an author where I have hard back and paper backs then they are all together.

Paperback
Just like the hard backs all my paper back stand alones are done in height order, if it is a series then hard back and paper back will be together in series order so basically from 1 to how ever many books in the series
My version of The Help is paper back

Authors
If I have more then one book by an author then I will put them all together and then it will go how ever if they are stand alones and then in order if they are a series. For example I have all my Gayle Forman and John Green books together.
I have the duo like this and also have a stand alone of If I Stay

Series
All the series that I own are put together. The last one at the bottom and works the way up to the first book. If I have started the series then I have put them with the stand alone books
This is how I have organized my Harry Potter books

Genre's
I have sorted some of my books into genre's and then by cover

Stand Alone
If the book is a stand alone book then they are by height.

I think I will at some point go into more detail of how I organise my books

6. What book(s) have you always meant to read and haven’t gotten around yet?
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, its been on my shelf so long that I can't actually remember getting it.
Glass Wives has been sitting on my shelf for a while and just havent gotten around to reading it yet

7. Anything you feel embarrassed never to have read?
Coldest Girl in Coldstown is one that everyone seems to have read and loved and I have started it and I started when I was in a book slump and couldnt finish it.

Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door and Isla and the Happily Ever After, everyone seems to have read and loved the book and they are really popular and I have never read them

8. Disappointing, overrated, just not good: what book did you feel you are supposed to like but didn’t? Do you remember the last book you put down without finishing?
To All The Boy's I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
For me To All The Boy's I've Loved Before was such a disappointment, I did a whole review on the book HERE. Since writing that though I have come to the conclusion that maybe I need to read both books back to back.

Fan Girl by Rainbow Rowell
I was really disappointed with Fan Girl, there was so much hype around it that I got it at full price which I rarely do only to be disappointed.

Coldest Girl In Coldstown by Holly Black

Coldest Girl In Coldstown is the most recent book that  I have put down with out finishing. I put it down for the simple fact that I was in a reading slump because of New Moon and the whole Vampire faze I think is now being over played

9. What kind of stories are you drawn to? Any you stay clear of?
I am drawn what ever I feel like, I read a lot of YA books, I like books that
Even though at the moment I am reading Eclipse I think that the whole vampire and werewolf thing is being so over played (and yes like I said in the previous quetion I do have The Coldest Girl in Coldstown) but seriously because of this whole Vampire thing I am so over it that I normally stay way clear of it, and I am only reading the last two books of the Twilight series is to say that I have actually read them.

10. What do you plan to read next?
After Eclipse I plan to read Breaking Dawn if I can pull myself into reading it, but I will more then likely read another book between reading the last two books, so who knows.

Lauren
xoxo
