To another post. There has been a book tag going around latley called the Rapid Fire book tag. The tag looks great and even though I would have done it I think some of the questions could be great on just a post itself, also a few days before I saw the tag I did one of the questions in a post of its own. So it here goes. Paperback vs Hardbacks
So here it is prefer ......... PAPERBACK's.
I like how hardbacks look on my shelfs, and I have found some hardback book's on sale which I always love, but for me I much prefer paperback books. They just fit nicely on my shelf's and they are a lot eaiser to hold and to carry around and everything.
I must say though that I do have some series of books that are a mixture of both hardbacks and paper backs, and also I have some books by one author that are both (mainly paper back) from my childhood that I just cant get rid of. Such as my Jacqueline Wilson books,
Paper backs are much cheaper then the hardback, and they fit better when placing the books onto the shelfs. It has gotten to the point now as I am reading more that I am waiting until books are on paper back and buying them that way.
How I get around getting both hard backs and paper backs. I will tend to get hardbacks on the rare occasion at full price, because I just cant wait until it comes to paper back such as The Fault In Our Stars, or from the Goblet of Fire to The Deathly Hallow of Harry Potter. Also if I really want to read a book that isnt yet out on paperback I will get hardback copies of the book
Paper backs always seem to be a good price, weather it be full price or sale price. Who doesn't love sales. So I will pick up hardbacks on sale.
Book series, now there is a whole other situation in its self, do I go all hardback or all paperback or a mixture? Well I have both hardback and paper back, and to be fair I prefer the hardback copies of my Harry Potter books then the paper back's but the Twilight books that I have I prefer Twilight and New Moon then the last two books. I am not a massive fan of the last two books of that series. Other series I have both hard and paper back copies of that series and to be honest I prefer the paper backs.
I like the fact that I am waiting for books to be paperback copies because I am not wasting extra money on something. I am not a massive fan of the extra covers the put over the actual book.
