Books I Want to Re-Read || Top 5 Wednesday || November 23rd 2016

Welcome
To another Top 5 Wednesday, today's T5W is books that I want to re-read. We all have books we want to read for the first time, but there are some books that we also want to re-read, I didn't put the Harry Potter books for a cupple of reasons, 1. I have read it this year, and 2. Harry Potter will always be on my re-reads list

Fan Girl
Rainbow Rowell
When I first read Fan Girl I wasnt overly impressed with the book, for me it was so over hyped, and maybe that was part of the downfall of the book at the time for me. I think if I re read the book that I would enjoy it.

To All The Boy's I've Loved Before
Jenny Han
Again I found that the book was so over hyped, I really didnt like it when I read it earlier this year, I think I will wait a while before I read it again, but I don't want to read it for a while yet, just because  I have read it this year,

One Day
David Nicholls
I really enjoyed the book when I finally read it, and it seems forever ago since I have read it and its been on my list to re read for ages

The Fault in our Stars
John Green
Its been ages since I have read The Fault in our Stars, I think it is time to re read it

Safe Haven
Nicholas Sparks
I love the book a little more then I love the movie though I do like the movie, I haven't read the book in so long and its been on my list to re-read for ages

Coffee Book Tag

Welcome
back to a third week of doing another week of blog posts, yep that's right I have been blogging ever weekday for the last three weeks, and like the last two previous Fridays today is a tag post, The Coffee Tag.

Enjoy

Black:
A series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans…
Twilight. I can see why it has hardcore fans, but for me it is a book(s) were a bit bland.

Peppermint Mocha:

A book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year…
I don't think that I have a book on my shelf that gets more popular during the winter or festive time

Hot Chocolate:
 A favorite children’s book…
Vicky Angel by Jacqueline Wilson, I remember reading it a time when I was really unhappy in my life and I loved it, I got lost in the book,

Double Shot of Espresso:
A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish…
Hate List, by Jennifer Brown

Starbucks:

A book you see everywhere…
Clockwork Angel series by Cassandra Clare.

That Hipster Coffee Shop:
A book by an indie author…
I didnt really understand this question, so I looked up what an indie author was, and the first person that came up was Beatrice Potter.

Oops! I Accidentally Got Decaf:
A book you were expecting more from…
To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han. I was expecting something so much better then what it was

The Perfect Blend:
A book or series that was both bitter and sweet, but ultimately satisfying…
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is such a bitter sweet book, but ultimatley satifiying at the same time, I think it is a perfect ending to such a perfect series,

Green Tea:
A book or series that is quietly beautiful…
My Best Friends Girl by Dorothy Koomson

Chai Tea:
A book or series that makes you dream of far off places…
Again its got to be Harry Potter, I have always wanted to go to Diagon Alley, and the Castle and everything about the whole series is great.

Earl Grey:
A favorite classic…
The Great Gatsby, to be fair, I have only of the two classics that I have read that I have enjoyed

Books I Have Read Because of Recommendation

Hey
and welcome back to another post, this one is on Books that I have read becasue of recommendations.

Fan Girl

Rainbow Rowell
Everyone seemed to be talking about Fan Girl, and how brillaint it is, and how Rainbow Rowell is a great writer. I got the book and liked it but it wasnt a great book as everyone had said it was. Its a book that I also want to re read just for the fact that I got it when everyone was saying how good it was and I was disapointed about it that if I read it again then maybe my mind will change.

The Fault in our Stars
John Green
The Fault in our Stars became really popular after it was anounced it was going to be a movie and everyone was reading it and saying how brilliant it was. I picked it up just before the movie was released and read it, really quickly for me actually, and I loved it. It was before I was blogging that I read it and never did  a post on it, but I enjoyed it more then the movie

Since You've Been Gone
Morgan Matson
Since You've Been Gone was one of the books that everyone would always talk about, and then everytime I would go to the book store I would see it, so I picked it up and I actually really enjoyed it

To All The Boys Ive Loved Before
Jenny Han
Do I have to really go into deatail of this book, people reccomeded it. It was on sale, I picked it up and I disliked it

One Day
David Nicholls
My aunt was reading it when she came to visit a few years ago and left it when she went back home, my dad read it and loved it and I read it and I tried for a while and it took me what seemed ages to actually read it, and it didnt help that I watched the movie before reading the book, but I loved both

Books That Were Disappointing

Hey
And welcome back to my blog. Today's post is all about the most disappointing books I have read

To All The Boys I've Loved Before
Jenny Han
I did a whole post about this book and how much I didn't like it. (HERE). I was so hyped to get the book. It was on sale I believe for around $10 and I picked it up.

Fan Girl
Rainbow Rowell
Sometimes when a book is really popular and everyone goes on and on about it I will pick it up (Only if it's on sale) and this was one of those books. Maybe because everyone went on about how good it was that I was disappointed. Or the fact that I was bored reading it. I have no idea but really wasn't impressed by it. I couldn't image the c

Paper Towns
John Green
Having read The Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska amd loving them then reading Paper Towns I was so disappointed with it. It took me three times I believe to actually start the book and each of those times I couldn't finish it and when I did finish it I was so disappointed.

April Read May TBR

Hey

and welcome to April's Read and May TBR post. In April I read three books, in May I plan to read at least 2 of the 3 books maybe all three

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling
I have finished the Harry Potter series. No matter how many times I read the books I fall in love every time. I can imagine in a couple of years I will be re read the series again with no shame

To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
I wouldn't say that I hate the book but it's not one of my favorites. Way to many chapters and some of them are really short. Sometimes only a page. I did a full review which you can READ HERE

My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
This book was brilliant. I loved it. I am writing a post on the book, so keep your eye out for that post. It is one to read.

To Be Read in May

Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson
I probley leave this one until nearer the end of the month, three books that are so similar so close together will just do my head in. I've heard a lot of good things about it and the author so I am looking forward to reading it

The Help by Kathryn  Stockett
I started reading this book ages ago and put it down, its been so long that I am starting from page one again to refresh my memory

Love Anthony by Lisa Genova
I picked this book up over 2 years ago and still haven't read it, oops my bad. Hopefully this month I will get around to reading it. I read up about the book and it looks really good but haven't opened it to see if it good.

Review: To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

Hey

I wanted to do an honest review on 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before'.

The short chapters and the amount of chapters. I mean 72 chapters in a 355 page book seems really silly.

Lara Jean seems like a brat and everything has to go her way or it wont work out.

Lara Jean is reliant on her older sister but doesn't understand why her sister got so mad at her when she finds out that she had kissed Josh (the older sisters ex boyfriend who Lara Jean liked before he dated her sister)

I found the whole relationship with Peter a bit silly. Because of how reliant she is on her sister, she feels that she has to take control of this relationship. It was kind of obvious that they would end up together in the end. I must say though that I did like the fact that Peter had written the notes to Lara Jean

When Lara Jean finds out that its her younger sister that posted the love letters to the boys, Lara Jean gets really mad at her sister but through out the book she has stated that her younger sister is a bit of a detective and will always go looking for things
What I did like about the book is that it shows a single parent and that parent is the father.  You see it in books and TV shows where the parents are together, or if its  a single parent house hold it always seems to be the mum.

I found that as the book got nearer to the end I started to enjoy it a lot better then the beginning of the book. I like how Jenny Han started incorporating school trip and things that teenagers do such as staying out past curfew and gossiping behind people's backs.
Over all I give this book 3 stars out of 5. Its not bad but its not super good that I want to run out and get the second book PS I Still Love You

Mini Book Haul #1

Hey

and welcome back to my blog. Today's post is a mini book haul, I went to my local Chapters book store and brought 3 books

Just One Year - Gayle Forman
Just One Year is the second book in the duo, the other being Just One Day which I really liked. What I like about Gayle Forman books is that she does it from 2 different perspectives. In Just One Day its Allyson's view on things and Just One Year is from Williems's. This was the only book that I got today that wasn't on sale or had a promotion on it, but I have wanted to read this book so much over the last year, but kept forgetting to pick it up.

To All The Boys I Loved Before - Jenny Han

I have seen a lot of people talk about To All The Boys I Loved before, and I wanted to read it. I love the cover of this book. I have never read any Jenny Han's other book's so I have no idea if I will like this one, It seems like a book that I would read. I got it for $10 as you can see by the sticker and it was down from $14.99 so I saved $4.99

My Life Next Door - Huntley Fitzpatrick

Again this books is one that a lot of people have raved about and that I have seen everywhere and that I haven't got any other books by the author. So many people have enjoyed the book, so I hope it lives up to the expectations.  I was actually shcoked that the book was on such a sale, it was pulished in 2012 and it is a hardback book and I got it for $5.99, I couldn't miss an opertunity to get it when I saved myself $13 dollars.
