February Wrap Up

January was a really good reading month so this month I wasn’t and haven’t put to much pressure on myself. In my TBR post I said I wanted to read Crossed and at least start Reached. I’ve read Crossed. Haven’t even started Reached. I need a break from that series. So I read a full series. A completely different series. LA Candy. It’s only three books but such a quick three books.

LA Candy by Lauren Conrad was the first book I read in February. It took me to 10 books completed out of my 24, which is 42% and 8 books ahead of schedule.

Crossed by Ally Conde. It still kept me at 8 books ahead of schedule. I have read 11 books out of my 24 book challenge. I have completed 46% if my challenge.

Sweet Little Lies by Lauren Conrad. 12 out of my 24 books read. 9 books ahead of schedule. And 50% of my challenge done.

Sugar and Spice by Lauren Conrad. 13 out of 24 books read. 54% of my challenge complete.

I’ve started Eat, Pray, Love.

Compared to this time last year I am so much further ahead but I have read books that are shorter or I’ve read before

February TBR

Welcome to my February TBR. This month I am not putting to much pressure in myself. In January I read 3 and half full on novels and a few smaller books so this month I am just continuing on with the Matched trilogy

Crossed by Ally Conde
There have been a lot of people that dislike this book but I’ve always wanted to read it and as I’ve finished Matched recently I want to start and finish the book

Reached by Ally Conde
Hopefully I’ll at least start the book before the month is out.

February 2017 Wrap Up and Book Update

Welcome
to February's wrap up, and a book Update. The way that I have done this Wrap Up is taken all the books that I put in my Feb TBR and just wrap it up, weather I've read it or not. Also I have finished two books that wasn't on my TBR for February.

I can't believe that February is almost over. It seems to be going really quick this year.

The Pact
- Ok so this was finished at the end of January but I didn't put it in my January wrap up or my February TBR as I wasn't sure if I would finish it in January, or have enough left for February TBR.
Review of  The Pact  HERE

- Belle De Jour
I started reading it in January, it's a pretty short book less then 300 pages but it's one of those books that really keeps you wanting more
Review of   Belle De Jour HERE

- Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them
This was good for what I could understand of it. It was different layout then The Cursed Child
Review of  Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them HERE

- Life of Pi
Yeah I didn't even attempt to read it. I tried. But just couldn't do it.

- David Beckham my world.
While there is a few words it's mainly pictures.  It's a great book just to look at the pictures and if you are a massive fan of David Beckham like I am you love the pictures.

Book Update
This month I had a little book block this month, it's not because the books are bad or anything, I just didn't read that much and was flipping between the two books.

- Cinder
I am flitting in and out of Cinder. I don't think I will finish it in February.
I am enjoying it but because I am going in and out of it I don't think I'll be finishing it anytime soon

- Jane Eyre
Again I am in and out of the book. I am not a massive fan but I want to finish it. Again I don't think it wasn't in February hopefully in march.

So Cinder and Jane Eyre are being moved over to my March TBR.

Books That Get Me Out Reading Slump || Top 5 Wednesday || A Few Horus Late

Welcome

Back to this weeks Top 5 Wednesday. This is all about books that get you out of a reading slump.

- Marshmallows For Breakfast
I can't even explain how many times I have read Marshmallows for Breakfast since I've gotten it. It's one of those books that keeps me holding on and never wanting it to end.

- The Devil Wears Prada
Possibly my favourite stand alone book that was made into a movie. It's literally one of these books that always gets better with time

- Harry Potter
A) who doesn't love Harry Potter and B) is it just me or is it a book series that as you get older just gets better and better.

- Hate List
This is a new edition on my reading slump pile.  It's such a hard hitting yet brilliant book. It's on my list as one of my all time favourites and I can Related to some of the characters and it's one of those books that I can pick up and boom I'm out of the slump.

- My Best Friends Girl
Again it's one of those books that you can pick up and wonder what the fuss was about with the reading slump.

All these books are books that I know that I like and that will get me back into reading and out of the reading slump. Other books I like to read to get me out of it are small quick books, around 100 pages, or books that are less words such as band programs or that kind of thing.

Book Trends You're Tired Of || Top 5 Wednesday

Welcome back to another Top 5 Wednesday. Today is Book Trends You're Tired Of. There are a lot of things I hate seeing in books when I see them but when I came to actually seeing it it was hard to think of.

- Adult colouring books.
I like the idea of them, they seem great, but it's so over done now I am getting bored of seeing them.

- Vampire Related books. Those books are beginning to get on my nerves a bit.

- book covers that don't match. Thankfully I don't have many of them but still it annoys me.

- Stretching out a series. It happens quite a bit. A series that could have just stoped at one or two books but are stretched out to make a series.

- Adding extra at the end. Not all of the stuff at the end annoys me but some of it does.  I like discussion questions but I hate that they add snippets of the next book, or other books by the author annoys me. It makes me feel as if I have to get that book, and i don't need it.

Belle de Jour book review

Book: Belle De Jour. The Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl
Author: Belle De Jour
Pages: 296
Publisher
Started: 30th January 2017
Finished: 2nd February 2017
Goodreads Rating 3/5

About The Book
Belle is a high class call girl in London who writes about her life during the 14 months she is one. She details the highs and lows of being a call girl and her personal life.

Belle introduces herself at the beginning of the book as a whore, and how she got into becoming a call girl.

REVIEW

- what I like about this book is that it's honest and open about her job, though only a few people in her life actually know what she dose to make money.

- She doesn't hold back

- Though the book is based on real life experiences of Belle she doesn't reveal who she is until late 2009.

- I like how it was set out in a diary format. With each month with the A-Z of being a call girl.

- At the beginning of each chapter is an A-Z of different things to remember while she was a call girl

- I gave it a 3* because while it's good book it's not as good as I remembered it first read when I first got it 10 years ago

Top 5 Wednesday || Current Favorites that Aren't Books

Welcome

back to my blog. This week it's all about our current  favorites that aren't books

- British Crime Documentaries on Netflix. Some don't have great ratings but I have always liked crime documentaries form the U.K.

- Hollyoaks.

- Peter Kay's Car Share. I am a massive MASSIVE fan of Peter Kay anyways. He can make me laugh so hard it hurts. I have pretty much all of his things on DVD and no matter how may times I watch his stuff or how long it's been I still laugh. So when I watched Car Share I just laughed the whole way through.

- The Fall on Netflix. I did a review on it last year and even now if people ask for recommendations on show for Netflix I'll always recommend the Fall

- People standing up for what's right, and against Donald Trump. I am so thankful that I am not American and to have him as my president. I don't agree with the things that he is doing.

That's it for this weeks top 5 Wednesday.

February TBR 2017

Welcome
Back to my blog, and another TBR.

- Belle De Jour

Belle De Jour is baised on a real person, who for 14 months worked as a high class call girl in London England, and wrote about her experiences under the name Belle De Jour. It became a tv show in the uk, and in late 2009 the author of the blog and book was revealed. It's been ages since I last read the book that I wanted to read it again.

- Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them
I haven't seen the movie. I wanted to read the book/script before I did.   I have kept away from any reviews of either the book or the movie

- Cinder
I haven't ever read a Disney retelling before and I normally try and keep away from hyped books but cinder (along with Scarlett and Cress) have been everywhere that I've brought into the hype and gotten the books. In February I want to start reading them.

- Life of Pi
I've had the book for a few months now but haven't read it yet. It's been on my TBR list forever that I have decided that I am going to try read it in February

- Jane Eyre. Charlotte Brontë
I am not a big lover of classic books. But every now and then I will try and read at least one book.

February update

Hey

and welcome back to my blog. This month was pretty crazy,

I hadn't watched to much football (soccer) this season, my team haven't been playing that well this season, we got knocked out of the European competition (Champions League)  that we have won before, and now playing in another European competition (Europa League) , and I wanted to watch the games because the team we were playing was created in 1999, the year my team won the treble (Premiership, FA Cup and Champions League) and I got to watch it on my dad's curve TV, it didn't start off too well, we lost the first game 2-1, but won the second game 5-1 and went through on aggregate of 6-3, but it almost didn't happen, I said to my dad after the second game that we would get Liverpool, and the next day the draw was announced of who we would play and we got Liverpool, who are one of my team's (Manchester United) rivals. Also if you can get a curve TV I would say get one, they are so amazing, I didn't think I would like it as much as I do but I love it

I have a big thing about the sky, I recently woke up and was greeted by this view. I love the pastel colors in the sky and defiantly a great way to wake up in the morning

Every now and then I will snap on snapchat, I am more of a watcher then a snapper, but I snaped this picture of me in black and white and for some reason I really like it.

I recently got my hair done, it had been a while and I was uming and aring between a light brown almost caramel brown ombre or going completely blonde again, Its been 18 months or so since I got my hair done, because I have trust issues with people doing my hair, that's what I get for having such a great hairdresser for so long and then moving contraries
Before
Druing
After

My cat has found his new favorite spot. On a cork board near the patio window

I recently signed back up to Pottermore, and found out that I am a Ravenclaw rather then a Gryffindor, find out HERE what I thought about that

I love taking mirror selfie's this is my favorite of the month, before I got my hair done.

I did a mini book haul, I love books, and needed to get some more, even though my To Be Read pile is big enough. I love getting books when they are on sale. 2 out of 3 books were on sale. Click HERE to see why I got these books

I need to get some foundation and/or concealer, I was running low on foundation and pretty much out of concealer so I popped in to Shoppers Drug Mart, I don't normally get my makeup from there as I find it really expensive, they had good deal on this week on my normal makeup but had a better deal on another brand that I like, $5.99 for Foundation and $5.99 for concealer, I ended up saving about $11 and it meant that I could get both of what I needed.

February Beauty Favorites 2016

Hey

and welcome to February's beauty favorites. February's favorites mean that its almost march and almost my birthday.

Foundation
This month I have loved 2. Maybelline Better Stay, and Rimmel London Wake Me Up, I had got the wrong shade of each and they work well together and is the perfect shade for me.

Concealer
This month I have been loving the Hide the Blemish from Rimmel London, I always love it but always try out other concealers and love them as well. Going back to Hide the Blemish makes me feel so much better.

Mascara
This month I have been loving my Volume Accelrator mascara from Rimmel London, I have a moment where I love the really fake look with my lashes without having to use false eye lashes

Liquid Liner
Again another Rimmel London product, this month I loved the Glam Eye's. It is great as an everyday liquid liner.

Lipstick
I am not a big lipstick kind of person, but this month I have been loving the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte. They are such a beautiful lipstick, great colors, feel great and last for hours,
