Books I Hated But Glad I Read

For me this isn’t an easy list to make because a lot of the books that I’ve read I’ve actually donated to make room on my book case for more books. So I can’t remember them all.

* Twilight Saga

    * Stephanie Meyer
As much as I dislike the books I’m glad that I’ve read them to say I’ve read them. I took me years to read book 3 & 4, like almost 10 years to read them. I would read Twilight and New Moon, and by the time it got to Eclipse I couldn’t read it, and so reading Breaking Dawn was a no go, and then I’d get it into my mind I wanted to read them, and I’m that person that has to read a series from book one and it would happen again. But when I finally got to Eclipse I forced myself to do it, and I finally finished the whole series.

* Me Before You
    * Jojo Moyes
For me Me Before You is a pretty new book on the list. I was going into the book thinking it was going to be amazing, and honestly it fell well short of that. Everyone seemed to rave about it, but I hated every word, I hated the book as a whole. I hated how no one aloud the guy in the wheelchair to have any thoughts as if they went away when he went into the chair.

I’m glad I read it for the simple fact that it was something to read. Would I recommend it. HELL NO.

* Crossed and Reached

    * Ally Conde
I absolutely loved the first book in the Matched Trilogy, but felt that the second and third books fell short. I felt confused by them, and they didn’t really do the story to much justice. The only reason I read them was to know what the story continued and finished like.

* Girl on The Train

    * Paula Hawkins
I heard really great things about the book, but for me it fell well short of all the good things I heard and I felt like it had so much potential. The plot was boring, and you knew it couldn’t of been Rachel that did what happened but you kind of knew that it was one of the people in the group that as mainly in the book. I would’ve liked to have a red herring in there but you don’t even get that.

* Paper Towns

    * John Green
I don’t know if it’s because I’m super over John Green’s books by the time I’ve read Paper Towns but it took me ages to actually read it all the way threw, I don’t think that the book at the time was the right read for me but I’m happy that I’ve read and donated.

* The Last Song
    * Nicholas Sparks
I have a love hate relationship with Nicholas Sparks books, and The Last Song is one that I hate. I’m glad I read it to know that just because I like some books by an author I’m not a massive fan of all their books.

* The Notebook

    * Nicholas Sparks
I’m not a massive fan of the book. Or the movie. I think it’s so over rated, and boring and bland and just pure hated it. But I’m glad I’ve read it to say that I hate it and not have people snakily ask me if I’ve read the book.
