Books I Struggled To Get Through

Welcome to a Top Ten Tuesday inspired post. I've been reading Brooke and The Bookish for a while and they do almost like a Top 5 Wednesday and every so often there is a topic on the there for Top Ten Tuesday that I like and I do my own version of it.  This post is the books that I struggled to get through. For me finishing a book is the biggest challenge. Pretty much every book I start I want to put down and DNF, but I get through them somehow. Well these are the books that I struggled through even more.

To All The Boys I've Loved Before
Jenny Han
There are a lot of people who love the book, but for me it was one of those books that I struggled with so much that even a year so later I still can't believe that I've read the book because it was such a struggle for me to get through. The only thing that was a plus for me was the price I paid ($10 instead of $14.99)

Paper Towns
John Green
I like some of John Green's work, but Paper Towns is the only book that I struggled to get through. I think I started it 3 or 4 times and put it down before I actually finished it.

The Help
Kathryn Stocket
The Help is one of my all time favourite books. Now anyways, but that wasn't always the case. I put it down three times before I actually finished it. Each of those three times I actually got a little further but would always struggle getting through the book until I pushed myself.

Scarlet
Marissa Meyer
Ok, so with the Lunar Chronicles series I knew it was a series, but in my mind I thought it was going to be single books, with individual story lines that would finish with each book and not carry on with each book, (meaning Cinder was just Cinder, Scarlet just Scarlet and so on) I didn't think that Cinder would move in to Scarlet, so it was hard to get into, also I got a bit confused about Wolf.

Eclipse
Stephanie Meyer
So with Eclipse I wanted to love it, but because I left it long before reading the book, and the length of the book, I found it so hard to get through.

Breaking Dawn
Stephanie Meyer
Breaking Dawn I had pretty much the same problem as with Eclipse, and then put into effect how Stephanie had it broken down into Bella vs Jacob parts of books I hated it and struggled.

Beneath The Glitter
Elle and Blair Fowler
If anyone made it through this book without struggling I salute them. I found it so hard to get through without thinking about the movie Material Girls with Hilary and Haylee Duff in it. I thought that the book could have been done so much better because it didn't have the stigma of being another YouTube book because it came out before a lot of other YouTube books
