A Trip Down Memory Lane (Mix of Childhood the 90s and Teenage Years the 00s)

Welcome

To a trip down memory lane. It feels forever ago that I was a teenager. When in reality it wasn't that long ago. I mean less then ten years ago I was a teen. When older people used to tell me that they wouldn't won't to grow up being a teen in this day and age, I would wonder why, my teen years were great (a bit of bullying yeah, but still amazing). I wouldn't change been a teen in the 00's for anything. But now I know why. I wouldn't want to be a young person (20 and under) in the present.

  • Music 🎶
My childhood was full of great music. I was born in 1989, so basically was a child throughout the 90's and a teen through the '00's which meant most of my music tastes were in a word CHEESEY. Steps, S Club 7, busted, Blue, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Five and those kinds of bands. In my teens I started to like Rap, Hip Hop and R&B a lot more, people like Eminem, 50 cent, The Game. Even now I am still a massive fan of The Spice Girls.  Who can forget the Sugababes, Westlife, Atomic Kitten, Damage. OMG 😲 such good music 🎶

  • Books 📚
Most people my age would have read Jacqueline Wilson (love her books even bow), Roald Dhal and those kinds of people.

  • Toys
My childhood could be summed up in two words. Beanie Babies. Those things were my life. I have so many. Some with tags some without. Recently my friend got rid of a lot and I took them. #SorryNotSorry. Some now I have two of, will I ever sell them? Not quite yet. When I was a child, I used to love the game Hungry Hippos.

  • Clothing
The top that Britney Spears wore in I'm Not A Girl video I remember being really popular. Also Hoddies. I loved hoodies and had millions of them.

  • Hair
As a teenager I had so many different hair styles and colours but the one thing that I started doing all the time was straightening (flat ironing) my hair. I could do it up to 5/6 times a day. It got that bad of a habit that my hairdresser actually banned me from doing it and my mum hid my flat iron.

  • Accessories
Big Hooped Earrings were a massive deal. Or fake diamond studs. And if you were lucky enough to have two holes then you'd put the hoops in the first holes and the studs in the second.

  • Cell Phones
This is aimed more towards my teenage years but I remember the smaller the phone the better. Nokia was the biggest and best thing you could have. I remember having a few Nokia's then a Motorola Razer and I ruined it by spilling hot water on it. And then I had a phone that would slide up to reveal the key pad.

Who remembers the old Nokia 3310. I used to have one, and I remember getting an Eeyore cover for it, but the front part used to fall off so I kept the back on only. Plus there was snake. And you could make your own ringtones
