Dear Revlon || Some Honest Thourghts

Dear Revlon

I very rarely get any Revlon products but when I got the Photo Ready foundation I was really happy with it. It was one of my Favorite foundations and for me to find something that I like so much I like to hold on to it.

I get that you as a company like every other company out there are always changing up their makeup, and that you are always trying to improve your existing products and bring out new or improved products.

Photo Ready in 002 Vanilla was one of those products that I should have got more of because it suited my skin tone really well. My skin felt great. I was late on the band wagon for it but I'm glad that I did in the end and should have stocked up on, but at the time of getting it the store I was getting it at was selling it for almost $20, and I couldn't justify spending that much money on foundation when I knew I could get other great foundations for almost half the price.

That was until you changed the formula and the name of that foundation to Photo Ready Airbrush Effect and the foundation that I once loved is now a darker color, didn't blend in that well, felt completely different.

I'm disappointed because Revlon is a higher end drugstore product and the 002 vanilla in the airbrush foundation is such a different color then the 002 photo ready foundation that I suspect other people had the same problem as I did, thinking that the colors would stay relativity close between each product even though its newer/improved.

You can see in the photo that one is the Photo Ready and the other is the Photo Ready Airbrush Effect and both are the same color. Yet the Photo ready is such a lighter color then the Photo Ready Airbrush Effect.

How can anyone justify spending between $15 and $20 on a foundation that isn't any where near the shade that is right for them.

Everything with the packaging is the same except for the name of the foundation, and yet the product has changed so much within it that when I wear the Air Brush Effect it feels like I am at the begging point of starting to wear makeup again.

So now I am stuck with a foundation that is the wrong shade for me that I cant take back as I don't have a receipt and because of the varying price range of the foundation. Even if I had a tan (spray or natural) I dont think that it would look good. It is such an orange basied pile of rubbish that I will not be buying again.

This has really put me off buying any other Revlon products. That and the crazy price
