January Update

Hey

and welcome back, today I am reaping things that happened in my life throughout the last month.

At the beginning of the month I got up as the sun was rising which for me is a very rare thing for me, I am such a night owl, I think the last time I saw the sun rising like this was when I was about 6-7 years old

Through out December and early January we had no snow what so ever, the last 2 maybe 3 years we have been getting snow in the middle to late January, This was the snow about a week ago, as soon as it melts its back again. I am not a big fan of the snow, I like it when it first falls, and is all white, but as soon as it all melts down, or is driven on and all black I don't like it

Last year I had a doctors appointment for a medical, it turned out that I needed to see a specialist, who I saw in December. He had to do 2 test on me, both really hurt, but I knew they had to be done, and I had to wait 6 weeks for the results, which was the longest 6 weeks of my life, well on Friday 29th I got results for one of the test I had done it was all clear, thank god, but the other one came back inconclusive and had to have the test for that one done again, now I have to wait 4 weeks, and what's better then taking a selfie in the office
Selfie in the doctors
I went to my dad's house, I go every few days or so, and have seen the progress of his house, from when it was nothing until now having furniture and things inside, and it is so beautiful. The picture is taken from door that looks out over the back yard, and looks in on the living room and kitchen, where the red chair is where is bedroom is.

I am going to try and do an update once a month along with all the other monthly post that I do, so let me know how you like it. I hope you all had a great January

January's Read Books

Hey
and welcome back to my blog, this year I have set myself a target of reading 36 books, that is 3 books a month. In January I read 4 books, which is one more then I thought I would have, and means I am over my target by one book, which for me is a good thing

Harry Potter: The Character Vault - Jody Revenson
I got this book for Christmas, my dad and I were in Costco and he had no idea what to get me for Christmas so I saw this and he picked it up. It is really interesting. They say 'don't judge a book by its cover' and that what I did with this book I completly judged it when I picked it up, I knew it would go in depth about charters we love such as Harry, Ron, Hermionie, Neville, Luna, The Weasly Twins,Ginny, Draco, Hogwarts Proffesors, Triwizard Torment, The Death Eaters such as Voldermort, Bellatrix, The Malfoys, and other Charters that were in the books, but I was expecting to see more about some of the other charters that had such a smaller part of the books and the movies, that had a small but important part, such as Seamus, Dean, Lavender, other students from other houses, and some of the family members were not involved.  I would have liked to seen them involved, just because like I said they may not be massive charters in the book, but they had small roles that were important to the story. However I really did enjoy reading this book. It was interesting and I learnt things that I didn't know about the charters that are in the book

Paper Towns - John Green
John Green is one of my favorite authors, Paper Towns is the least favorite of the three John Green's books that I have read, I enjoyed reading it but I enjoyed Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars a lot more. I had got the book back in the summer of 2014 and have tried to read it 2 or 3 time before I actually read it all the way through.
David Beckham Autobigoraphy My Side
I am a massive David Beckham, He cant do any thing wrong in my eyes. This autobiography goes from early life to the time he signed for Real Madrid, it talks about Manchester United and breaking in to the first team, Sir Alex Ferguson,  England squad including the amazing 5-1 win over Germany, the world cup 1998, to his marriage to Victoria and the birth of his first 2 children

The Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald
The Great Gatsby is the first ever 'classic' book that I have ever read, I was surprised that I read it, I recently watched the movie, and then read the book, and I am glad that I did it that way because while reading the book I could see how the movie while I read it. I really enjoyed it. It is very fast pace and really enjoyable. I am not the fastest reader in the world and it took me a few days to read 144 pages. The photo shown isn't the version of the copy I have, but the copy of the book that I like

Thanks for reading today post, I hope you enjoyed it. Look out for my next book related post, which will be my February to be read list

January Favorites

Hey

and welcome back to my blog. Can you believe that January is already over. It seems only yesterday that I was doing my 2015 favorites, and now were done January.

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I love the Wake Me Up Foundation. It is such a beautiful foundation, they have recently changed the formula because when I first got it there was no Vitamin C in it before but it is still as fantastic as before. It has to be pretty special for me to find a foundation I love as much as this. As you can see I am almost out of this one and will be starting on the next one soon

Rimmel London
Wake Me Up

I very rarely wear eye shadow, I sometime find it hard just to get right, and when I do I love using the Naked 3 pallet. For christmas 2014 my dad was unsure what to get me so we just happened to pop in to Sephora. I had heard great reviews about Urban Decay products especially the Naked Pallets. When I looked at all three the Naked 3 looked like the best fit for me and it is.
Naked 3
Yes you can see me in the mirror

This month the Lift Me Up mascara has been wonderful for me. I am constantly changing my mascara's and have found lots that I have liked. The Lift Me Up has done its job for me this month, I am on my second one, it pumps up my lashes without looking fake. It smells so fresh and clean when I wear it.

The applicator is one of my favorite kinds as well. I also love the packaging of the mascara.

To give my lashes that extra BAM this month I have also been using the Wonder Lash by Rimmel, it seprates and extends the lashes a little more after using the Lift Me Up. I have use it on its own, and it works so well. Some mascaras will dry and go hard on your lashes just on there own, where this one it dosent go hard, it sits there perfectly

and again the applicator is one of my favorites, its so different then the Lift Me Up apliator but is just so perfect

Thats all for this months beauty favorites.

Living on the 8th floor

Hey

And welcome back to my blog. I hope your all well.

In March it will be 4 years since I moved out of my dads house and started living on my own and in November 2015 I moved to the same city my dad had moved to to make it easier on everyone, as it was over an hour away and way to much time traveling

When I first moved out I had to look at a place that was easy enough for my dad to get in to, and I was on ground floor, which is easy for everything, shopping, my dad could come through the patio door.

When I decided to move and my dad and I wanted to find a place that is close to where my dad new place is and the place I moved to is just perfect.

I live on the 8th floor, and it is perfect. It takes a lot longer to get things in to my apartment then it did before, I cant leave it on the patio floor walk through the doors of the building and in to my place and them open the patio doors and bring my things in that way anymore, I have to use an elevator and do more then one trip, and have to wait because there are 13 other floors in my building and the elevators are always in use.

The one thing that I love is the fact that I have an amazing view. Looking out naturally without looking through a camera I can see right up to a store that is quite far away.

So I hope you enjoy some off the photos that I have snapped on my phone over the last few weeks.

Thanks for reading

Let me know if there is anything you wish for me to do on my blog

Couches

Hey

and welcome back. My blog is, and always will be  a place where I will blog about what ever I want to blog about.

When I moved out of home in 2012 and in to my own place I had really rubbish couch and chair, for over 3 years thats all I had, they were left behind by the previous woman. In Auguast my dad moved in with his girlfriend, and his things went in to storage while his house was being built. In November I also moved and left my couches where they were because I wanted my dad's as he brought new ones.

Last weekend I got my couches from my dad as he got all his stuff out of storage. We were worried they wouldnt fit in through my door as it is a lot smaller then my last place, and the layout is also different.

But some friends came down to help my dad at his place, and were absolutely wonderful to get them in to my building and in the elevator and in to my tiny door.

As you can see my cat already loves the chair.

It may seem like something so small getting couches, but if you could see my old couches in my old place it was horrible

So thanks dad for the couches

Beauty Q&A

Hey
And welcome back to my blog. I hope you are all well. I can't believe in a few days I'll be writing my January favorites post. That's just crazy to me. Today's post is a beauty Q&A.

Best Beauty Bargain?
Natural Collection
Its the Natural Collection from Boots. I loved that line while in England, it is one of the cheapest brands out there and one of the best, when the movers packed all our things in our last house in england they packed all my makeup away and I had to buy everything all over again, and then just before I left England I brought some extras. That was almost 8 years ago, so obviously I dont have any of it left.
The make up is either 1.00 or 1.99, and even though it is cheap, it is so worth it. I may ask my aunt to pick some up for me when she comes over in the summer

Who's wardrobe would you love to have?
I would love to have Victoria Beckham's wardrobe, she has such a classy sense of style, and who wouldnt love a wardrobe of a designer

Any beauty secrets you can share with us?
I would say don't put mascara on your bottom lashes. I don't know if everyone has this problem but it always falls of my lashes.

Are there any hyped up products that you don't think deserve the hype?

Tangle Teaser
The tangle teaser. It is such a bad product for me. I would use it to brush my hair out when I am conditioning my hair when I am in the shower, and the amount of hair that falls out is crazy. Plus it really hurts my head. I don't really see  a difference. My tangles are still there and I loose hair.

If all make up products were going to cease to exist in shops tomorrow, which one product would you stock pile today?
Foundation, I have really bad acne scaring so covering up is a big must for me, as soon as I put on foundation I feel so great

What is your favorite make up brand?
Rimmel London, I have been using it for years, I have found that most of there products work really well for me, I haven't found anything that compares to products that work as well as those from Rimmel

Where are your favorite places to shop for beauty products?

I am a drugstore junkie. I love drugstore. I like how it is inexpensive for the most part and I find that it works well for me

Do you have a favorite skin care product?

Clean and Clear Makeup Devolving Foaming Cleanser face wash, it takes off 99% of my makeup, even waterproof mascara, my skin feels amazing afterwards, I dont like when I wash my face the tight feeling that you can get when all the oils come out of your face, the Clean and clear dosent give you that feeling. I also use it for cleaning my makeup brushes, and it makes them feel incredable

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

Real Techniques brushes. There is a lot of hype around them, and they are so worth the money.

What is your favorite lipstick?
Rimmel London's Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipsticks, I love the shades, I have 6 of the Lasting Finish Matte lipsticks (the red packaging) and 3 of the Lasting Finish (Black packaging) I like both but the red packaging lipsticks I like the most, I have shades 101 through 104, and then 110 and 113. The colours of both the Matte finish and the non matte finish are so beautiful, I find the Matte lipsticks are a lot more pinks and purples, going in to bold colors where the non matte ones are more bold colors.

Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

Its a definate No No for me. It kinda creeps me out that you can get makeup on Ebay, all the fakes that I have heard you can get on there,

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
When I first try out something new I am really clumsy, but practice makes perfect.

Name a makeup crime that you hate?

I'm not sure if everyone calls it this, but I hate Cake Face, its where someone is wearing so much makeup that it looks really fake. Its not a good look, I also hate when you can see the obvious foundation line

Which celebrity always has great make up?
Coleen Rooney, she is so beautiful and her makeup is always so flawless. I love how naturally it looks.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

No. My gran told me as soon as I started wearing makeup that I had to wear makeup every time I went out even if I am going to the corner shop because you never know who you may meet

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

I can honestly say that I don't, I have really bad acne scaring and I always have to cover it up. I was bullied really badly about the way that I looked, makeup gave me that confidence that I needed

What do you think of Makeup?

I think makeup is a part of life. It all depends on the woman, but it changed my life for the better

Do you remember your first makeup item?

I do, I got a clear lip gloss by Natural Collection and Hide the Blemish concealer by Rimmel

Thank you so much for joining me in this post, if there is anything you want me to do please let me know.

Repurchase or Release: LIPSTICKS

Hey

and welcome back to my blog, I hope you are all doing really well. This is going to be my Repurchase or Release on my Lipsticks, if you have no idea what Repurchase or Release is, its where I go through the different sections of my makeup - Foundations, Primers, Concealors, Masscara's, Lipsticks, Eye Shadows  etc - and tell you if I would Repurchase or Release them.

This one is my lipsticks, I don't wear lipsticks, all that often,

102
Repurchase
101
Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipsticks, and the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipsticks.

The matte is the red packaging and the black is the non matte ones.

I don't own all of them, but they are such a beautiful lipsticsk.

The colors have amazing pay off, and they are defanitly ones that I would reperchace again and again.

103
The matte lipsticks are more pink/purple color with the odd bold color.
104

The nude 113 was the first one that I ever got.

The Lasting Finish are more bold colors.

If I dont want the lipstick to be as bold I will put the nude on first and then the color and its still bold but not as bold

110
113
The Matte 110 and 113 are the best colors for me, 110 is such a beautiful red, its a classic red, and 113 is also such a perfect nude

09
12
With both sets of lipsticks I will say though is that there is a deffinat defining smell between the two of them. I cant really explain the smells they both have, but its there

What I like about the lipsticks as well is they are super cheap

L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm is one of my favorite lipsticks, I have the nude, 819 Caramel Comfort, It is another nude that I love. It is a bit expensive for a drugstore, but loreal is an expensive brand. but the lipstick is so beautiful. It's very matte, it last for hours, and smells amazing

Release
NYC 2in1 colour is an amazing product, BUT after one or two uses it broke at the bottom and fell off, and no matter how much I tried to get it to work after that it just didn't, The only thing good about this brand of makeup is the price

NYC lipstick, I'm not sure if that this has a particular name, but again I wouldn't buy it again, I didn't like the feel of it,  and I continue wearing it because I didn't like it

Thats it for my latest post of Repurchase or Release, I hope you all have a good day.
