The simple answer is yes.
I avoided reading Breaking Dawn and Eclipse for so long. While there are flaws in all four books I actually like the first Twilight book and when I read New Moon I struggled that I didn’t want to read the last two books Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.
Also with the movies being so popular as well (not as much as Harry Potter) but still popular I didn’t want to read them.
At the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018, I actually read the whole series. Including the two books I was avoiding and while I am glad I avoided them for so long I am glad I read them.
It’s easy to say “if you didn’t like them just sell them or get rid of them” but they have more memories attached to them then them being just the Twilight books.
I also have The Host, which is written by the same author as Twilight. I’ve had it for years but just haven’t read it because of how much I disliked most of the twilight Saga.
I think it’s ok to not avoid books by authors.
I used to have this thing where when I read a really good book by an author I would have to get all of their books, but the books are nowhere near as good as that book that I tend to avoid them. The only case where this hasn’t happened is with Harry Potter and with Dorothy Koomson books.
