Today’s post is all about books that I think are perfect for people to read when they want to start reading less Young Adult books and more Adult books.
*by transitioning I mean from YA based books to more adult books*
My Best Friends Girl
Such a beautiful, sweet, loving, yet heartbreaking book about adoption, racism, illness, forgiveness, moving on, and death. Even though some of the topics are hard it’s a great book. It’s a book that makes you feel empowered for all involved. It also makes you feel heartbroken for everybody involved (apart from Adele’s father and step mother. Read the book and you’ll understand)
If you only know Lauren Wiesburger by the movie adaption of the book (which is is a great movie) you’ll love the book. Based loosely on Lauren’s own experiences working in the fashion industry. It’s one of those books that’s great for both teenagers that want to go out of their comfort zone
It’s an known fact that teachers and students shouldn’t date. What’s great about this book is it shows just what can happen if that happens and it goes wrong. That everyone’s life can and will be forever effected everyone.
What I love about The Lucky One is that it shows determination and love when you think that it’s all gone.
* The Help
I didn’t know I needed this book in my life until I read it. It’s one of those books that you know it happened, and it’s happened a long time ago, but in reality it’s still happening. And it wasn’t that long ago. People are just more aware of it. It’s one of those books that I think everyone should read at some point in their lives.
* One Day
One Day is such a beautiful book. It shows that people can be friends without the extra romance for many years.
* Safe Haven
I have such a love hate relationship with Nicholas Sparks books, and this is one that I think is perfect.
