Books I Didn’t Think I’d Like… But Loved

While looking for inspiration for my blog I found one where I could do two parts.

I don’t go into buying books for the fact that I dislike them. I wouldn’t have brought them if I didn’t think I’d like them. Right?

Anyways there are some books that I got that I think ‘I won’t like this book’ but end up thinking ‘Holy Shit Balls Mom’ because it’s amazing. (If you know the reference to ‘Holy Shit Balls Mom’ 1million brownie points).

- The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is one of my favourite books and only classic book out of the two I’ve read that I liked. I watched the movie first which normally for me is a big no no, but when I read the book I wasn’t thinking about the actors playing the characters in the book.

- One Day
It took me three tries to actually fully read One Day but when I did I loved it.

- Lock and Key
    - Sarah Dessen
I had previously DNFd a Sarah Dessen book so I wasn’t going into Lock and Key with high expectations. But it was a really good book.

- Looking For Alaska
    - John Green
With the hype being around The Fault In Our Stars (which by the way I loved) having a book that would be better to read. I actually got the Looking for Alaska as the free audio book and whoever was narrating it was brilliant. The book was better then I could have imagined. So when I picked up a physical copy of the book and read it I loved it
